The Center for Philosophy and the Health Sciences at Aarhus University is hosting a lecture by Mäel Lemoine (University of Bordeaux). 

TITLE:  “Aging and the necessity of death"

ABSTRACT: A widespread conception is that aging consists in the degradation of organisms until death. However, evidence that aging in itself is causing death is scarce. This talk analyzes extant evidence and propose a way to reconceptualize aging if organisms are not bound to die by this ineluctable process.
