The Marx & Philosophy Society is pleased to invite submissions from graduate students and early-career researchers for the early-career panel of its 2024 annual conference. The conference will take place on Saturday, 8 June 2024, entirely in person at the Institute of Education in London, UK.

The theme of this year's conference is "Nature in Marxism," but submissions on any topic related to Marx or Marxism are welcome. The confirmed main speakers are Stefania Barca (Santiago de Compostela), Killian Favier (Dublin), Frédéric Monferrand (Paris 1), and Camilla Royle (Durham).

If you are interested in presenting a paper, and you are either a current graduate student or received your PhD no earlier than 8 June 2019, please submit an abstract of no more than 400 words to Pascal Brixel at [email protected] by Wednesday, 31 January 2024. Accepted papers should be suitable for a 20-minute talk. We will send out notifications of acceptance by Wednesday, 14 February 2024. We especially encourage submissions from women and members of other groups underrepresented in philosophy.

The Society will pay for an evening meal for all presenters, and may also be able to make a modest contribution toward travel expenses for presenters without access to institutional funding.

If you have any questions about the conference or this call for abstracts, please email Pascal Brixel at [email protected].
