The University of Pennsylvania chapter of Minorities and Philosophy (MAP) is pleased to announce our eighth annual conference: MAP-Penn Conference on Racial Justice.

The conference is focused on racial justice. This includes the nature of racial justice and its connections to race, (in)justice, oppression, and other issues in the philosophy of race and social and political philosophy. It also includes the connections between racial (in)justice and aesthetics, philosophy of law, bioethics, normative ethics, social epistemology, and the history of philosophy, among other areas of philosophy.

Keynote Speakers: Jacoby Carter (Howard University) and Laura Valentini (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, München)

The conference will take place online via Zoom. We will provide Zoom captioning (but not ASL interpreters unless otherwise requested). We aim to make the conference as accessible as possible. Please contact us about any other access needs as soon as possible.
