The IPA invites submissions to our Spring Workshop, a one-day informal gathering on a special topic in philosophy. The Spring 2024 Workshop will focus on Philosophical Issues Related to Artificial Intelligence (broadly construed). We seek papers approaching AI and related issues from a wide variety of philosophical perspectives. Submitted papers should be (i) no more than 3000 words, (ii) prepared for blind review, and (iii) accompanied by a separate page that includes title, author information (name, affiliation, and contact information), and an abstract not exceeding 150 words. Materials should be submitted to Brian Johnson at [email protected]. Suggestions for commentators and session chairs (including self-nominations) are also welcome.
Undergraduate Paper Prize: The IPA will present an award to the best paper submitted by an undergraduate student, and the student will be invited to present their paper at the workshop. The award will be accompanied by a cash prize of $100. Papers submitted for the competition should be identified as such on the title sheet, and they should be submitted by a faculty sponsor.
Deadline for Submissions: 1 March 2024
Deadline for Notifications: 20 March 2024
