The first webinar will be an introduction to peer review, addressing the types and processes involved. This webinar will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of peer review, including its history, different types, benefits, and process.

By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the history and importance of peer review.
  • Identify the different types of peer review and explain the advantages and disadvantages of each.
  • Articulate the benefits of reviewing manuscripts for themselves and for the scholarly community as a whole.
  • Describe the peer review process and identify the key roles and responsibilities of authors, editors, and reviewers.
