International Conference on Virtue Ethics and Technology
19-20 September 2024 – KU Leuven, Belgium
The KU Leuven Working Group on Philosophy of Technology and the Belgian Royal Military Academy are delighted to announce a 2-day international conference on the interplay between virtue ethics and the philosophy of technology (with one day dedicated to military technologies), to be held (in-person) at the Institute of Philosophy in Leuven, Belgium 19-20 September 2024.
Conference Themes: The conference aims to explore the possibilities for understanding and addressing the ethical, political and societal challenges raised by new and emerging technologies through the lens of virtue ethics. One day of the conference will focus particularly on the challenges posed by new and emerging technologies in military contexts. We warmly invite philosophers, ethicists, and researchers from related fields to submit abstracts for papers or panels addressing a wide range of topics
