We welcome all of those interested in philosophical hermeneutics to our 19th annual meeting. The North American Society for Philosophical Hermeneutics was formed in 2005 to further the study of philosophical hermeneutics and to foster dialogue in light of difference. While honoring the rootedness of philosophical hermeneutics in the work of Hans-Georg Gadamer, we find that the force and value of hermeneutics lie in the development of dialogue that brings life to history and illuminates contemporary issues.
This year's meeting will take place at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan (just outside Grand Rapids) from September 12-14, 2024. The program will include a keynote presentation from Dr. Leah McClimans (University of South Carolina). See the accompanying Call for Papers for more information on how to submit a paper for consideration.
