Call for Papers:

We invite graduate students to submit papers in any area of analytic philosophy, but preference will be given to papers related to cognition and normativity. Papers can be written in English or in Chinese.

The deadline for submitting papers is: June 3rd, 2024. Papers should be suitable for about 30 minute presentations (ca. 3,000 words in English) and made ready for blind review. Submissions should also include a cover letter with the following information: (i) author name, (ii) email, (iii) institution, (iv) title of the paper, (v) word count, and (vi) an abstract (150 words).

Submissions should be emailed to: [email protected]

Be sure to attach your paper and cover letter as .doc(x) or .pdf files.

We intend to send all submissions for external blind review, except for submissions that are either written in poor English (or poor Chinese), or with obvious and serious formal flaws. If your paper is too long (e.g. longer than 5,000 words in English), we recommend you to submit an abridged version, or at least, to indicate in your submission which parts of the paper you wish the reviewers to consider.

Notices of acceptance will be sent by June 18th, 2024.

Best Paper Awards and Post-conference Publication:

There are prizes for best and runner-up student papers. We will recommend excellent student papers to academic journals including Asian Journal of PhilosophyForeign Philosophy (Waiguo Zhexue), Journal of Human Cognition (Renzhi Kexue), and Tsinghua Studies in Western Philosophy, for consideration of publication.

For participants with accepted papers, we will cover your accommodations in Beijing (near the Beijing Normal University campus) during the conference days. We also have a limited number of travel grants available (in principle, we can only cover domestic travels in China for the time being).
