This workshop aims to improve our understanding of the ethical issues that arise from the use of artificial intelligence in a research setting. Topics may include dual use potential, AI in medical diagnostics, the use of illegal or otherwise protected training data, and the use of LLMs in scientific authorship.

The workshop is supported by the organizers of the Helmholtz Conference on Artificial Intelligence, which begins the following day (June 12) in Düsseldorf.
