Powers, Causes and Laws

The notions of ‘power’, ‘cause’ and ‘law’ are central to many metaphysical accounts. Engaging with both historical and contemporary material, this workshop examines a variety of issues concerning these key concepts, such as how they relate to modality, essence, tropes, time and consciousness.
