Details

Indeterminacy is ubiquitous in  the social categorizations we employ, in the moral facts we appeal to, in our thinking about personal identity. Indeterminate language frames many of the physical and metaphysical theories we most care about. This conference will explore the applications and manifestations of indeterminacy in these areas.

Our keynote speaker, Delia Graff Fara, will speaking on indeterminacy in racial categories.

This is the final conference of the AHRC Metaphysical Indeterminacy project, hosted by the University of Leeds. It will take place in the Leeds Radisson Hotel on the 7th and 8th of December 2013.

Speakers will include:

Tom Dougherty (Sydney)
Matti Eklund (Uppsala)
Delia Graff Fara (Princeton)
Agustin Rayo (MIT)
Miriam Schoenfeld (UT Austin)
