CFP: NEW BOOK SERIES: Historical and Philosophical Aesthetics (HPA), published by Brill
Submission deadline: January 31, 2025
Details
We are pleased to invite interested scholars to submit their unpublished manuscripts to the new book series sponsored by the International Association of Aesthetics: Historical and Philosophical Aesthetics (HPA), published by Brill. This series aims to gather pioneering scholarly works at the forefront of aesthetics and the philosophy of art.
We welcome proposals for monographs and edited collections focused on a diverse array of topics and methodologies. Submissions can range from fundamental principles guiding our engagement with various art forms to inquiries into the origins and evolution of our aesthetic faculties and their connections to politics, culture, and society. Explorations into applied aesthetics and unconventional subject matters are also encouraged, alongside traditional studies that examine the history of aesthetic theory and its central concepts.
Please send your book proposal to the series editors, Lisa Giombini and Adrián Kvokačka, at:
Information on how to prepare a proposal can be found here: https://iaaesthetics.org/historical-and-philosophical-aesthetics/
Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis and will be evaluated competitively.
We look forward to receiving your submissions!
