This is a workshop to discuss philosophical issues arising within moral approaches that take love, care, or solidarity as morally foundational. 

Two spots are available by a call for papers. To be considered, kindly submit an anonymised 1000 word abstract for your paper to the organisers at [email protected] with 'Care and Love at Harvard' in the subject line by the 3rd of August. 

Candidate topics might include: 

- how are love and care distinguished? 

- which is more relevant to moral explanation?

- how are either related to: concern, respect, solidarity, beneficence, community?

- what is it for love / care to be the basis of morality? 

- hypothetical versus actual relationships?

- tricky cases / structures? 

- etc.
