The American Association of Philosophy Teachers (AAPT) and the APA Committee on the Teaching of Philosophy (CTP) invite abstracts for the Eastern AAPT-APA poster session. Each Teaching Hub includes a poster session featuring both innovative work in the teaching of philosophy by faculty and graduate students as well as independent philosophical work by undergraduate students.
We welcome faculty and graduate students to submit an abstract to the Teaching Hub poster session to showcase a new teaching technique, course design, assessment strategy, in-class activity, or scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) research finding.
This call is for posters featuring pedagogical innovations or Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) from faculty or graduate students. In early fall, a separate call will be issued for undergraduate student posters. Please encourage undergraduates who have completed independent philosophical research work or projects in philosophy (e.g., thesis, capstone, independent study) to submit their abstracts.
DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACTS: August 1, 2024
SUBMISSIONS: Abstracts of no more than 500 words should be submitted to the Google form by August 1, 2024. We aim to ensure representation of a range of voices and expect to select presenters by August 21, 2024.
Please complete this form to submit your abstract.
