Details

The Philosophy Graduate Student Association at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville is proud to announce our annual graduate student conference. The conference will be centered around the theme of "meaning in life" and will take place in-person at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from April 12-13, 2025.

The conference will engage with a variety of questions that intersect with the theme of meaning in life, including (but certainly not limited to) questions related to philosophy of death, free will, and ethics.

We are delighted that we will be joined by this year's keynote speaker, Dr. Travis Timmerman of Seton Hall University. In addition, the conference will be kickstarted by a faculty keynote delivered by Dr. Michael Ebling (UTK) on Friday, April 11th. The conference will conclude with a presentation from the winner of an undergraduate philosophy essay contest about the conference's theme.
