Please join us for a presentation by Professor Andre Duarte from Federal University of Parana. Duarte is a professor in Philosophy with research interests in contemporary philosophy and Political Theory, specialising in the work of Hannah Arendt, Michel Foucault, Judith Butler, and others. His new book is called: Pandemic and Crisis of Democracy - Biopolitics, Neoliberalism, and Necropolitics in Bolsonaro’s Brazil. The book examines the health crisis resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and the contemporary crisis of democracy.
