Florida State University’s chapter of the Minorities and Philosophy Club invites you to its Annual Graduate Philosophy Conference to be held on 3/7/2025. We are one of over 180 chapters of MAP (http://www.mapforthegap.com/). The aim of our organization is to address structural injustices in academic philosophy and to remove barriers that impede participation in academic philosophy for members of marginalized groups. Towards this end, this conference is an opportunity both for graduate students from marginalized backgrounds and those addressing issues of marginalization in philosophy to present their work. Our keynote speaker this year will be Kevin Richardson, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Duke University. Dr. Richardson works on non-binary conceptions of social identity, critical social ontology, gender and sexuality, and race. Please see the CFA page for information about submissions. Any questions or concerns should be directed to Nikolaus Kennelly at [email protected]
This is a student event (e.g. a graduate conference).
