The German Society for Analytic Philosophy (GAP) will hold its next triennial conference from September 8 to 11, 2025, at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf: GAP.12 — Pathways to Truth.

There will also be a colloquium in honour of the 2025 GAP Frege Prize winner, Hannes Leitgeb (LMU Munich), with contributions of:

  • Richard Pettigrew (University of Bristol)

The conference will feature thematically organized sections designed to foster in-depth discussions on a wide range of topics in Analytic Philosophy. Everyone interested is invited to submit a contribution for a GAP.12 section talk.


Submission Information:

  • GAP.12 section talks can be in German or English.
  • Submissions consist of a short abstract and a longer summary that outlines the central theses of your paper and the key arguments (max. 1,000 words, anonymized).
  • All submissions must be made through the ConfTool online system – see our website www.gap12.de
  • The submission period is December 15, 2024 – January 31, 2025.
  • Each submitting author is limited to a single submission for section talks. I.e., you may not present more than once within the sections of GAP.12. However, it is acceptable to be listed as a co-author on additional papers.

Review Process:

All submissions will undergo a triple-blind review by at least two reviewers. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by May 2025.

Presentation Information:

Presentations can be in either German or English. Each presentation is limited to 25 minutes, followed by a 15-minute discussion. Shorter presentations will allow for extended discussions.
