The fifth Groningen Metaethics Workshop will take place on Wednesday 9 April 2025 at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.

Our keynote speaker will be James Lenman (Sheffield). The programme will be as follows:

09:00 – 10:00   Graham Bex-Priestley and Will Gamester (Leeds) — “The Problem of Creeping Maximalism”

10:15 – 11:15   Sofia Berinstein (Pittsburgh) — “Perception Discloses Value Affectively

11:30 – 12:30   Thomas Schmidt (Humboldt) — “Reasons First, Deontic Logic Second”

12:30 – 14:00   Lunch

14:00 – 15:00   Nils Franzén (Umeå) and Karl Bergman (Uppsala)— “Gibbardian Expressivism and the Varieties of ‘Ought’”

15:15 – 16:15   Singa Behrens (Bielefeld) — “The Structure of Normativity”

16:30 – 17:45   James Lenman (Sheffield) — “The Truth in Conventionalism” (keynote)

Followed by drinks and dinner.
