Call for Abstracts

We welcome philosophical papers on all aspects of health, health care, and medicine including nursing, midwifery and allied disciplines (we normally do not accept papers in applied medical ethics).

To submit a paper, please send a 500-word abstract to https://forms.gle/nucsoXqbhMmcuWXr5 by February 1st, 2025. Abstracts will undergo masked review and should not contain information that will allow identification of the author. Contributed papers will be allocated a 30 min slot (including discussion). A poster session will be held as well.

Important dates

Submission deadline: February 1st, 2025

Notification of acceptance: in about six weeks

Conference dates: June 2nd and 3rd, 2025

Fellowships

We aim to support early-career scholars participating in the conference by offering contributions toward travel expenses, subject to the availability of funding. All early career scholars who are presenting a paper at the conference are eligible and can indicate whether they want to be considered for the grant as part of the submission process. Awardees will be selected based on submission quality as emerged from the reviewers’ scores (in case of equal judgment, the candidate at an earlier career stage will have precedence). After decisions have been made, selected early career scholars will be contacted by the organizers.

Accessibility

The Roundtable will be an in-person conference. However, it will also be streamed and, on a case-by-case basis, the organizers may arrange for a remote presentation if needed to accommodate a disability or medical restriction.
