The Horizon Europe project ETICA  (Center for Ethics in Public Affairs) at the American University of Armenia, directed by the ERA Chair Professor Maria Baghramian,  will inaugurate its international activities through a major multi-disciplinary conference on the theme of National Identity in a Time of Crisis. The conference, taking place on June 29 and 30, 2025 at AUA, is co-hosted by the NYU Global Institute for Advanced Study the Armenian Society of Fellows and the  AUA Turpanjian Institute of Social Sciences,  where the Center for Ethics in Public Affairs will be based. 

The conference explores foundational questions relevant to the place, the significance and the nature of national identity in a world facing a multitude of old and new challenges and uncertainties. The keynote speakers are:
