Hosting Institute:

Center of Epistemology and Cognitive Science is home to the Chinese Society of Epistemology. Established in 2011, the Center is the frontier in epistemological research in China. It currently has an interdisciplinary research team of 20 people, with researchers from Philosophy and Information Science and Engineering. In 2013, the Center opened the first laboratory in China for Experimental Philosophy.

Xiamen University is located in a beautiful coastal city in southeast China, Xiamen, a city with a rich history and a unique mixture of Buddhist and Christian heritage. Xiamen is one of the most popular tourist destinations in China, and only a one-hour flight away from major cities like Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei. Xiamen University has constantly been ranked the most beautiful university in China. It attracts over 3,000 international students and scholars to study and work here each year.

Conference Theme:

We welcome any topic in epistemology, and epistemology-related cognitive science and experimental philosophy.

Please submit your abstract (about 600 words) by email to [email protected] (Dr. Liu Xiaofei).

Submission deadline is March 1 2014. Notification of acceptance will be sent out by March 31 2014.

Registration:

There will be 500 RMB/ US$ 80 registration fee (half for students). The registration fee covers three lunches, three dinners, refreshments, and a one-day tour to world cultural heritage Fujian Tulou (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fujian_Tulou).
