York University’s Philosophy Graduate Students Association is seeking submissions for our 2025 Philosophy Graduate Conference! The conference will take place in April 26-27th, and we are pleased to announce keynote speakers Zeyad el Nabolsy (York University), and Sarah Clark Miller (Pennsylvania State University).
The title of this year's conference is Philosophy From the Margins. We hope to make this a space for traditionally under-represented or marginalized philosophical discourses and we encourage submissions exploring issues in Non-Western Traditions (Asian, Africana, Latin American & Caribbean, and Indigenous Philosophy), Feminist Thought, and Philosophy of Race and Gender.
Submission guidelines:
Deadline to submit: February 1, 2025.
Paper submissions are accepted from graduate students and should be approximately 3,000 words and accompanied by a 250-word abstract. Please submit papers via email to [email protected] with “2025 Graduate Conference submission” as the subject. All submissions should be prepared for blind review. Please include your name, your affiliation, and the title of your paper in the body of your email. In an effort to include demographic minorities in philosophy, if you are part of a minority group, you may include that information.
