Details

There has recently been a growing interest in truthmaker semantics as an alternative to the standard possible-worlds approach in philosophical and formal semantics. Following a successful initial meeting in 2023, the second Advances in Truthmaker Semantics conference will take place in:

Munich, July 28–30, 2025, at Carl-Friedrich-von-Siemens Foundation, Südliches Schlossrondell 23, 80638 Munich, Germany

The aim of the conference is to share recent advances in truthmaker semantics and related approaches, as well as to strengthen the intellectual ties within the community.

Registration (free but required by July 15): https://forms.gle/hKQFMqRzQrGYHk7J7

While there is no fee for participation, those not presenting will be asked to pay for any conference dinners they wish to attend (estimated 35 Euro per day).

The conference is organized by Lucas Champollion, Erica Shumener, Martin Abreu Zavaleta, Mark Jago, Justin Bledin, and Kit Fine. The organizers gratefully acknowledge funding and organizational support by Kit Fine, Hannes Leitgeb, Ursula Danninger, the Siemens Foundation, the Humboldt Foundation, LMU Munich, New York University, Syracuse University, and Nottingham University.
