There has recently been a growing interest in truthmaker semantics as an alternative to the standard possible-worlds approach in philosophical and formal semantics. Following a successful initial meeting in 2023, the second Advances in Truthmaker Semantics conference will take place in:
Munich, July 28–30, 2025, at Nymphenburg Castle (www.schloss-nymphenburg.de).
The aim of the conference is to share recent advances in truthmaker semantics and related approaches, as well as to strengthen the intellectual ties within the community.
Confirmed speakers include Kit Fine, Hannes Leitgeb, Vita Saitta, Lisa Vogt, Stephen Yablo, Dongwoo Kim, Ivano Ciardelli (tentative), Reinhard Muskens, Mark Jago, and Lucas Champollion.
The conference is organized by Lucas Champollion, Erica Shumener, Martin Abreu Zavaleta, and Mark Jago.
While there is no fee for participation, those not presenting will be asked to pay for any conference dinners they wish to attend (estimated 35 Euro per day).
We would also like to draw your attention to the upcoming workshop on Truthmaker Semantics and Modal Logic taking place in Bochum, August 4-8, 2025, at the ESSLLI summer school. The submission deadline is Feb 28, 2025. For more details, visit the ESSLLI 2025 website or contact [email protected].
