Some of the corporate behaviour that led to the recent financial crisis (http://leeds.us6.list-manage.com/track/click?u=eb1534b10bb7afc84aaedb9b9&id=e286e16d39&e=a62204a5f8), but also previous wrongdoing in the business world (BCCI, Enron, PPI mis-selling, Bhopal Disaster; supply chain issues in the textile business), has raised the question of the role of business schools and their graduates. This conference will focus on how they can address the current challenges.
The conference will include plenary sessions and workshops

Professor Mick Yates, visiting Professor at the business school and formerly of Dunnhumby plc.
Professor Chris Megone, Director of the Inter-Disciplinary Ethics Applied Centre
Parallel Workshop themes will include:

5. The public interest
6. Business ethics and the purpose of business
7. Promoting Integrity within Organisations
This conference will be of interest to academics, professionals and people working in business.
A number of workshops are already organised but the organisers will consider offers of further workshop themes in these or related areas. Please contact the organisers as soon as possible (and by February 14th at latest) if you would like to organise a workshop within the themes above.
