Annual International Conference

"uAnalytiCon-2025: Fictional Objects",

May 23-24, 2025

The uAnalytiCon-2025 conference is dedicated to the study of fictional objects and their significance in philosophy and language. Interest in this topic can be traced throughout the history of analytic philosophy, beginning with the works of thinkers such as Gottlob Frege and Bertrand Russell. The conference will focus on the metaphysical status of fictional objects as well as the epistemological aspects concerning the formation of knowledge about them. Some philosophers regard fictional objects as useful tools that simplify research across various fields of knowledge. Additionally, fictional objects can be analyzed in the context of the possible worlds semantics, which allows for a connection to the notion of possibility. The uAnalytiCon-2025 conference plans to discuss methodological approaches and the differences between real and fictional objects, as well as issues of reference. Conference participants are invited to present their research that develops the concepts of fictional objects used to analyze logical reasoning, explain linguistic structures, and develop metaphysical theories and ontologies. The conference will provide an opportunity for participants to discuss the definitions and status of fictional objects, as well as their potential applications in various fields of philosophy and scientific disciplines. We look forward to the active participation of researchers and fruitful discussions that will help deepen the understanding of the role of fictional objects in philosophical and scientific contexts.

We welcome submissions from a wide range of disciplines, including but not limited to:

* metaphysics;

* epistemology;

* philosophy of language;

Statement

In this difficult and anxious time, uAnalytiCon Organizing Committee declares its commitment to humanist ideals, compassion, and solidarity. We do not welcome the military solutions of any conflict and want to express our empathy and condolences to all the victims and their families, no matter which side they are on now.

We consider it harmful to divide the research community along any lines, including national and political ones. Science and philosophy belong to humanity as a whole, not to particular social or ethnic groups.
