Details

In recent years, we have witnessed remarkable advancements in AI. While these hold immense potentials to benefit society, they also raise concerns about large-scale risks. These risks include the loss of control over AI systems due to algorithmic weaknesses, the malicious use of AIs for terrorism, and the irresponsible development of AI due to competitive pressures. Addressing these multifaceted challenges requires insights and expertise from diverse disciplines—STEM, social sciences, the humanities, and beyond. This conference aims to create a platform for fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, promoting a synthetic understanding of large-scale AI risks, and exploring potential solutions through the combined knowledge of experts from various fields.
