Announcement and call for papers

The TALK group and the Argentinian Society for Analytic Philosophy invite researchers and scholars in Philosophy of Language, Linguistics, Logic and Philosophy of Mind to submit a paper for the workshop on Trends in Semantics and Pragmatics to be held in Buenos Aires in May 21st-23rd, 2025.

Contributions on general topics in formal semantics and pragmatics are welcomed. The next list just aims to provide suggestive guidelines:

• expressive meaning

• presupposition 

• not at-issueness

• scalar implicatures/antipresuppositions

• information structure

Invited speakers:

• Ana Paula Quadros Gomes (LEV/FL/UFRJ)

Submissions should include two files, to be sent to the following address: [email protected]

1. one containing a title and a 750-word abstract of the paper for assessment

2. the other containing title of the paper, author’s name, their institutional affiliation and their e-mail.

NEW Deadline for reception of submissions: March 2nd, 2025

Communication of acceptance/rejection: March 15th, 2025

Language of the workshop: English
