CALL FOR PAPERS - ISSUE 47 (2025)
Gregorio Peces-Barba Human Rights Institute at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and the Association of Students and Alumni of IDHPB (AEEIDHPB) invite scholars and researchers worldwide to submit their contributions for Issue 47 of UNIVERSITAS. Journal of Philosophy, Law, and Politics.
1. SCOPE AND THEMES
UNIVERSITAS publishes original research in Philosophy, Law, and Political Theory, with a particular focus on Human Rights as a transdisciplinary and transcultural paradigm. We welcome contributions that explore contemporary challenges from a rigorous theoretical perspective.
2. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Submissions must be sent via email to:

Types of contributions accepted:

Research Articles: Original, unpublished papers engaging in systematic inquiry and theoretical debates.

Opinion Articles: Analytical reflections on current legal, political, and philosophical topics.

Book Reviews: Critical assessments of significant works in Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Law, Moral Philosophy, and Human Rights.

Interviews: Conversations with leading scholars and practitioners in the field.
Formatting requirements:

Manuscripts must be submitted in Word format (.doc).
-
Font: Verdana, Size: 12 pt, Single spacing, no space between paragraphs, first-line indentation.

Footnotes: Verdana 10 pt, single spacing.

Referencing style: Chicago (notes and bibliography, 17th edition).

Include:

Title, author(s), abstract (max. 100 words), and 5 keywords in both English and Spanish.

Author’s academic affiliation, profession, and contact email.

For peer review, submit two versions:

Anonymous manuscript (excluding author information).

Separate author details document.

4. PEER REVIEW PROCESS
All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review by external reviewers. Possible outcomes: Accepted, Rejected, or Accepted with revisions. In case of conflicting reviews, a third evaluator will be consulted.

Submission deadline: March 31, 2025.

Publication date: First half of June 2025.

Late submissions may be considered for the January 2026 issue.
5. ETHICAL STANDARDS
Authors must agree to an Exclusivity Commitment during the review process. The following violations are strictly prohibited:

By submitting a manuscript, authors acknowledge their acceptance of these ethical standards. Any concerns will be resolved by the Editorial Committee.
