CALL FOR PAPERS
The Second Forum and International Symposium on Analytic Chinese Philosophy
October 17-19, 2024 - Taiyuan, Shanxi, China
The discipline of Chinese philosophy has evolved over a century, leading to significant modern Chinese philosophical systems that are consciously based on analytical methods. Among these, Jin Yuelin's Theory of Dao and Feng Youlan's New Rationalism are key representatives. The growth of analytic philosophy in China has moved beyond merely a school of thought or a specific philosophical framework; it now represents the pursuit of philosophical research grounded in contemporary analytic methods and their findings. Today, the intentional use of analytic methods in studying Chinese philosophy has emerged as a prominent topic within the global philosophical community. The inaugural forum on “Analytic Chinese Philosophy,” held in 2024, was notably successful and attracted international philosophical attention. To highlight the latest research developments both domestically and internationally, the Center for Analytic Chinese Philosophy at Shanxi University, the School of Philosophy at Shanxi University, and the research team for the National Social Science Foundation Key Project titled “Research on the History of Analytic Chinese Philosophy in the 20th Century” (Approval No. 21&ZD050) have collaboratively decided to host the second forum from October 17-19, 2025, in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, China. They will invite renowned experts worldwide to discuss and exchange ideas on relevant issues, stimulating further dialogue within the domestic philosophical community.
