Details

We are pleased to announce the inaugural UNM Asian Philosophy Graduate Conference, hosted by the University of New Mexico Department of Philosophy. We invite Master’s and Ph.D. students in Philosophy, Religious Studies, Asian Studies, and related disciplines to submit papers for presentation. The conference aims to provide a platform for emerging scholars to engage in meaningful dialogue on ancient and modern Asian philosophical traditions, which include (but are not limited to) South Asian, East Asian, Southeast Asian, Islamic, West Asian, Tibetan, and Central Asian philosophy.

While we welcome submissions on any topic related to Asian philosophy, we particularly encourage papers that engage with South Asian philosophy and those that explore issues of translation, textual interpretation, and cross-cultural philosophical exchange.

Deadline for submission: June 1, 2025, 11:59pm, Mountain Time.

For any questions, please reach out to [email protected].
