CFP: Zagreb Applied Conference 2025 (ZAEC 2025)

The Society for the Advancement of Philosophy and the Institute of Philosophy, Zagreb, are pleased to announce the 8th Zagreb Applied Ethics Conference (ZAEC 2025), which will take place from 24 to 26 September 2025 in Zagreb, Croatia.  

ZAEC 2025 aims to bring together philosophers and scholars from other disciplines to discuss topics in applied philosophy. The conference will be primarily dedicated to the theme of moral progress, covering a broad range of topics from metaethical analyses to applied ethical issues, while also welcoming contributions on other relevant topics in applied ethics. We encourage submissions addressing specific ethical questions as well as broader theoretical and methodological perspectives within applied philosophy.

We are delighted that Hanno Sauer (Utrecht University) and Katarzyna de Lazari-Radek (University of Łódź) will deliver the keynote lectures.  

We invite submissions for paper presentations of up to 20 minutes, followed by a 10-minute discussion. If you wish to present a paper, please complete the Application Form (https://forms.gle/NAPUy2RDpSNdrdsm6) and submit it before 1 June 2025. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by 15 June 2025. The official language of the conference is English.  

The participation fee for accepted speakers is EUR 50, which covers conference materials and the conference dinner. Unfortunately, we are unable to cover travel and accommodation expenses. Useful accommodation information is available at Zagreb Tourist Info (https://www.infozagreb.hr/en/).  

The conference is planned as an on-site event only.
