We are pleased to announce the second annual Maryland Philosophy Conference (MPC)! This conference is hosted by the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Towson University, Towson MD and will take place on Friday October 17, 2025. This event aims to provide a welcoming venue for philosophers to present their work, and to engage with other scholars. Faculty (full-time or part-time) as well as graduate students and independent scholars are invited to participate. This event is free and open to the public.
Conference participants will have a total of 25 minutes to present their work, and 10 minutes for questions. Abstracts should be 500 words or less, should include a title, and should have no identifying information. Along with your abstract please send a second document that includes the following: name, title of paper, institutional affiliation (if any), and bio (brief). Indicate, also, your paper’s main area: ethics, social and political philosophy, philosophy of religion, non-western philosophy, history of philosophy, metaphysics, epistemology, language.
Please submit abstracts to Kristen Hine at [email protected] by 11:59 PM EST on June 30, 2025. Participants will be notified by August 15, 2025. We ask that all attendees register for the conference no later than September 1, 2025.
