The Toronto Philosophy of Religion Working Group invites submissions for its fall conference, which will take place over Zoom on December 15th and 16th, 2025.
The keynote speakers are Eleonore Stump (St. Louis University) and Keith DeRose (Yale University).
This year’s theme is ‘religious epistemology’, broadly construed. Submissions on any aspect of religious epistemology will be considered.
That said, to honour of the 25th anniversary of the publication of Alvin Plantinga’s Warranted Christian Belief, the organizers particularly welcome submissions that address this work in some way.
There are two options for submission:
(1) you can submit an abstract of 300 words or less.
(2) you can submit a complete paper of 3000 words or less (excluding notes and references), accompanied by an abstract of 300 words or less.
All (and only) full-paper submissions will be considered for the best essay prize. This prize is an award of $1250USD, generously funded by (a) Notre Dame’s Centre for Philosophy of Religion; (b) the Jellema Chair in Christian Philosophy at Calvin University; and (c) the Society of Christian Philosophers.
