Details

The conference “Political Phenomenology and Italian Theory” aims to open a productive and reciprocal dialog between two important philosophical currents in modern philosophy: Political Phenomenology, which is strongly anchored in German- and French-speaking countries, and Italian Theory, which has received increasing international attention in recent decades, both deal with central questions of power, sovereignty and subjectivity, but in different ways.

The conference offers the opportunity to link these different approaches in order to develop new theoretical synergies and better understand current global political challenges such as migration, climate change or the crisis of democracy.
