Yorkshire Ancient Philosophy

Details are now available of the Spring workshop of the Yorkshire Ancient Philosophy Network.

Since we circulate papers ahead of the meeting (and only a shortish summary is presented), it is desirable to notify me if you are intending to attend, so that I can send you the papers.  Likewise, if you plan to attend the dinner, it would be helpful to know (see below regarding likely subsidies for staff and students of White Rose universities).

9.30am (for 10am start) - 5.30pm (followed by dinner), Friday 14th March, 2014.

10.00-12.00 Reading Group: Aristotle, Rhetoric 1.2-3; 2.1. (in English - bring translation)
12.00-1.00 Lunch (own arrangements / Ziff cafe)
1.00-2.30 Colin Tyler (University of Hull) - title tba.
2.30-2.50 Tea / Coffee
2.50-4.00  Janine Gühler (PhD student, University of St Andrews) - Aristotle's Philosophy of Mathematics (exact title tba)
4.00-5.30 Christopher Megone (Leeds) - On the human function in Aristotle (exact title tba).
6.00 onwards: drinks and dinner*

* (subject to confirmation, but looking likely) it is hoped that the dinner (but not drinks) will be subsidised by the Centre for the History of Philosophy for postgraduate students and staff of the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York.
