Details

Is the future of philosophy conferences in Academia? Could it be part of the private sector? Are conferences the best way to spread philosophical ideas? Is filmmaking the future of philosophy conferences? Can philosophy talks play a role in our political protests?

Join the discussion.

During the online event "The Future of Philosophy Conferences", our goal is to discuss the future of philosophical conferences — given a climate of funding cuts within academic humanities projects around the world. The keynote speakers include philosophers with experience as speakers in academic and non-academic events, and conference organisers within and outside academia. We will be gathered online to share experiences and discuss the best way to plan for the future – as it might very well not be in academic institutions anymore.

The online event will run for 1h 45m where the keynotes will share their testimony and insights — and a discussion will happen right afterwards.
