Dear colleagues,
We now invite submissions for the upcoming Workshop on Relational Normativity, to be held in Stuttgart, Germany, on November 21–22, 2025.
The workshop will feature eight talks across two days. Each session will consist of a 45-minute presentation followed by 45 minutes of discussion. Submitted papers should be suitable for this format. The remaining presentation slots are reserved for early-career philosophers, defined as individuals who received their Ph.D. within the past five years. Current Ph.D. candidates are also eligible to apply.
We interpret the theme of relational normativity broadly and welcome contributions on topics including (but not limited to):
- Directed or relational obligations
- Relational moral practices and reactive attitudes (e.g., blaming, forgiving, apologizing, requesting, holding accountable)
- Second-personal reasons
- Partiality
- The limits and prospects of relational approaches to morality
To apply, please submit an anonymized abstract of no more than 1,000 words (excluding references) by September 14, 2025, to: [email protected].
Please direct any questions to the same address.
We look forward to your submissions!
Best regards,
Jörg Löschke & Simon Ewers
