Details

We invite submissions for the 4th Annual Penn-Georgetown Digital Ethics Workshop, to be held at the University on Pennsylvania on April 3rd-4th, 2026. Submissions in any area of digital ethics, broadly construed, are welcome.

Conference presentations will be 30 minutes, and each paper will be assigned a commentator. Papers of roughly 4000-4500 words will be due to commentators on February 15th, 2025.

Please submit an abstract of no more than 500 words, formatted for blind review, to [email protected]. Abstracts should be submitted in PDF form, single-spaced, with no references. Please name the file after the title of the paper, e.g., "A Theory of Justice.pdf". Please include your name and institutional affiliation in the body of your email.

Abstracts are due November 15th, 2025. Applicants will be notified of decisions by December 15th, 2025.

The workshop is generously sponsored by the Georgetown Center for Digital Ethics and the Wharton Accountable AI Lab.

Some funding will likely be made available to at least some speakers and commentators to defray accommodation costs. We have limited funds, and we will decide precisely how to distribute them after the review process.

Questions can be addressed to either of the conference organizers:

Brian Berkey: [email protected]
Will Fleisher: [email protected]
