The 3rd Inquiry Network Workshop will be taking place at Toronto Metropolitan University on April 30th - May 1st, 2026.

We invite submissions of anonymized abstracts (750-1000 words) on any topic related to inquiry, broadly construed. For example, papers might address topics such as:

  • Norms of inquiry.

  • Inquiring and interrogative attitudes (e.g., curiosity, wonder).

  • The relationship between inquiry and attention or salience.

  • The semantics and pragmatics of questions.

  • Virtues and vices of inquiry.

  • Inquiry in specific domains, such as scientific inquiry or philosophical inquiry.

  • Historical approaches to inquiry (for example, work on the American Pragmatists, ancient Pyrrhonians, etc.).

  • Ethics of inquiry

  • Feminist topics related to inquiry.

Please send anonymized submissions to: [email protected] with the subject line “3rd Inquiry Network Workshop” by November 3rd, 2025.

Decisions will be sent by the end of November.

There will be 5–6 abstracts selected for presentation. Speakers will receive a $300 (CAN) honorarium to help offset the cost of travel and accommodations.

All are welcome to submit, and we especially encourage work from early-career philosophers.
