Who: Robert Hopkins (New York University )

What:   Picture perception and evidence

What is it like to see something in a picture? I will lay out some of the key options between which a theory must choose, ones largely overlooked in the literature on the topic. I also consider how far appeal to empirical evidence, or to wider considerations in the philosophy of perception, might help with the choice between them.
