Regular Submissions

Submission Deadline: October 6, 2025

Papers in all areas of philosophy are welcome. The FPA especially encourages submissions that broaden the range of subdisciplines represented at the conference, in order to reflect the diversity of philosophical practice in Florida.

Papers must be prepared for anonymous review (no author name or affiliation) and limited to a presentation time of 30 minutes (approximately 12 double-spaced pages or 3,000 words). Each paper will be followed by a 20-minute discussion period.

Please submit papers directly to: [email protected]
Include “FPA submission” in the subject line. In the email body please include author name(s), affiliation, contact email, title of paper, and abstract.

For questions regarding submissions, contact Program Coordinator Josh Rust at [email protected]

Graduate students submitting papers for the regular program may opt to have their work considered for the Outstanding Graduate Paper Award. The winning author will receive a monetary prize. Only students currently enrolled in Florida colleges or universities are eligible.

Undergraduate Paper Awards

Undergraduate students may submit papers for consideration in one of two categories:

The authors of the winning papers will receive monetary awards. Eligibility is restricted to students enrolled at Florida colleges or universities.
