Dear all,
I hope this email finds you well. I am seeking submissions for a special issue of the Deleuze and Guattari Studies Journal (published by EUP), already underway, on Deleuze and/on Palestine.
This special issue considers the relevance of Deleuzian thought to the political, philosophical, and aesthetic dimensions of Palestine, its struggle, and lived experience. It invites contributions that engage with the lived realities of Palestine and the broader questions of liberation, resistance, and becoming through the lens of Gilles Deleuze.
We welcome essays that:
-
Employ Deleuze’s concepts and/or writings on Palestine to interrogate the politics of occupation, dispossession, and resistance in Palestine;
-
Bring Deleuzian and/or Guattarian concepts into dialogue with Palestinian philosophy, art, film, or literature;
-
Reflect critically on the limits and possibilities of Deleuzian philosophy in contexts of colonial violence;
-
Offer creative or experimental reworkings of Deleuze and Guattari in relation to Palestinian thought and struggle.
We particularly welcome submissions from scholars, artists, and activists from or working in Palestine and the Middle East, and from those approaching the topic through decolonial or interdisciplinary perspectives.
Completed papers of 6,000–8,000 words are ideal, though shorter pieces will also be considered. Please send submissions by 20 November 2025 to [email protected] (apologies for the short submission window, but the issue is already underway).
For any questions or informal inquiries, please don’t hesitate to contact me. For more information on formatting and submission procedures, please visit https://www.euppublishing.com/journal/dlgs/submit.
Kind regards,
