Auslegung: Journal of Philosophy is organizing its 1st annual conference. Conference will be February 12-13, 2026, at the University of Kansas 

Conference Structure: 20-min presentations, 5-min comments, 10-min response, 20-min Q&A. 

Keynote: Clancy Martin, University of Missouri—Kansas City

Themes: Deception and Self-Deception, Lies, Propaganda and Fire-Hosing Tactics, and Social and Group Epistemology. Particularly, how these intersect with human-computer interactions (AI, the Internet, etc.). 

How does human-computer interactions engage with these concepts and what philosophical insights does this offer? 

What are the moral or normative dimensions of human-computer interactions?

Other paper submissions are welcome as long as these are within the scope of the conference themes. 

Submissions: Papers should be 4000-7000 words, excluding footnotes, and prepared for anonymized review. Submissions should be two documents: (1) a document with paper title, author(s) name, affiliation, contact information, and indication of willingness to comment and/or chair on papers. (2) The paper, excluding identifying information.

Accepted papers have an opportunity for publication in a special issue of Auslegung.
