Why should bankers and politicians have all the good summits?
The Philosophy Research Group at the University of Inland Norway is pleased to invite submissions to the fifth Slippery Slope Normativity Summit, to be held in Lillehammer 13-14 February 2026.
The programme is two-fold: after lunch, it will be a workshop of the usual kind, in the areas of metaethics, normative ethics, and agency and responsibility. Before lunch, participants have the option of skiing or snowboarding the slopes of Hafjell Ski Resort or go cross-country at Sjusjøen. No experience is required; the workshop can arrange rental equipment and ski instructors.
The workshop will take place at Scandic Victoria Hotel in Lillehammer, which is an hour and forty minutes by train from Oslo Airport. The workshop will provide accommodation from 12. February to 15. February, meals, ski passes, rental equipment, ski instructors and transport between events. However, we ask that participants cover their own transport to Lillehammer.
We invite submissions of anonymized abstracts of about 1000 words, suitable for a 45 minute presentation, to [email protected] by December 5. We aim to have 8 speakers at the workshop. Presenters at the 2024 Slippery Slope are (despite being awesome) not eligible to submit abstracts this year. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by December 10.
