CALL FOR ABSTRACTS!

The Philosophy Graduate Student Organization of the University of South Tampa invites submissions to our nineteenth annual Suncoast Graduate Philosophy Conference. The conference will be held at the University of South Florida, Tampa, FL, on Saturday, April 4th, 2026.

We welcome papers on Political Philosophy and its wide range (Democracy, Tyranny, Authoritarianism, Imperialism, Free Speech, Politics & Economics, International Relations/Conflict Studies, The UN, Political Violence, Politics & Ethics, Human Rights, Social Media & Politics, Science & politics, Academia & Politics, AI & Politics, Critical Theory, etc.). Papers will be assessed for their overall quality, clarity, and originality of themes and theses. Each speaker will be allotted an approximately forty-minute time slot during which they will deliver their remarks and participate in Q&A (we recommend preparing your remarks to last no longer than 15-20 minutes in order to allow for robust Q&A).

Please send an abstract (150-300 words) anonymized for blind review by January 31st, 2026. In addition, send a separate document stating your name, affiliation, contact information, and the title of your paper. Email all documents to [email protected] and [email protected]. Acceptances will be announced by late February.
