The Formal Epistemology Workshop 2026 will be hosted by the University of Colorado Boulder's Department of Philosophy as part of the CU Boulder Morris Colloquium Series.

It will take place at the University of Colorado, Boulder, from 19-21 June 2026.

Submissions

We invite paper submissions in formal epistemology broadly construed, including but not limited to probability, decision and game theory, philosophy of science, logic, philosophy of language, social epistemology, as well as suitable papers that intersect with aligned scientific disciplines, such as computer science, psychology, economics, and statistics. 

Paper submissions should be no longer than 6,000 words and should be accompanied by an abstract of maximally 200 words. 

We welcome and strongly encourage submissions from members of underrepresented groups in philosophy, as well as early career researchers and students.

All submissions should be prepared for anonymous review.

If you would like to volunteer as a commentator or chair at the conference, please send us an email at [email protected]. This includes those who submit a paper and would like to offer to be commentators or chairs, should their paper not be accepted. 

 Financial Support

Graduate students and others without institutional funding whose paper submissions are accepted will be able to request some support for travel and accommodations.
