This one week seminar will explore 17th and 18th-century texts about slavery from Europe and America. Prof. Jorati will direct an intensive week of summer classes for the benefit of a small group of recent PhDs whose main research and teaching are in the relevant area. Up to six individuals from among those who apply will be selected to participate in five days of intense classes on the announced subject.
