Details

The workshop aims to bring together scholars who have been developing a Humean approach to virtue ethics. This is a topic that has started to attract more and more attention over the past few years. The idea behind this movement is that Hume’s moral philosophy offers philosophical material to develop a form of non-teleological, sentimentalist virtue ethics that can rival the mainstream neo-Aristotelian approaches. This event is generously co-sponsored by The Leverhulme Trust and The Scots Philosophical Association.
