The graduate students of the Philosophy department at the University at Albany are pleased to announce the 2026 Graduate Philosophy Conference, to be held in person on April 11th, 2026, in Albany, New York. The theme of the conference is AI and Emotions, broadly construed. We are especially interested in papers that focus on the way AI shapes human emotions through interactions and how AI demonstrates, imitates, and responds to emotions. We also welcome submissions that focus on either of these topics individually. Papers should be suitable for a 30-minute presentation (approximately 3,000-4,000 words).
